NZ AND AUSTRALIA WIN TWO STRONG GAMES TODAY IN SCHOOLS TRI NATIONS

New Zealand Schools defeated the Australian Schools Barbarians by 49-6 in a commanding game today at Knox Grammar.

NZ displayed great attacking capacity in several great counter attacking runs from their own line, resulting in tries–they scored six converted tries .

The Australian Schools Barbarians only got two penalty goals on the score board ,but had some good territory and possession on the NZ line a number of times–with strong NZ defence holding them out.

The Australian Schoolboys Team defeated an energised Fiji Team by 29-3 in the second game at Knox.

The Fijians showed again some of their usual flair, but the excellent  Australian defence kept them tryless.

The Australian Team were able to get and hold good possession and , with strong support plays, eventually broke down the Fiji defence to end up with a well deserved score of 29 points.
