SANIX is an annual invitational schools First XV rugby tournament for individual schools from nine countries
It is held in the week following Anzac Day here. Schools have to find their own fares to and from Japan.
The Sponsors–SANIX Japan–then cover all meals, accommodation and internal travel.
There will be 16 teams playing. Eight of these are the top schools from 8 regions in Japan.
The other eight are from invited countries–of which Australia is one. Other fairly regular countries include–New Zealand , South Africa and England.
Each year the other four schools come from a range of countries which, in the past, have included–Russia, South Korea, Taiwan, Tonga, Fiji, Samoa, France, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka.
The Australian Schools Rugby Union selects a school each year from those interested and taking into account the fairly high standard of the event.
Schools are invited to submit an Expression of Interest and / or ask questions by emailing–
Expressions of interest need to be submitted by Monday 13th August, 2018.
