Three Wallabies who were Australian Schoolboy Players were a highlight of the ASRU Luncheon on Friday 13th.

They are Morgan Turinui, Jack Dempsey and Ben McCalman.

They were interviewed entertainingly by well known Rugby commentator Gordon Bray.

Guests were entertained by Irish Comedian Paul Martell.

David Mortimer, Chairman of the Schools Rugby Foundation, spoke of the value of tours such as this year’s one to the UK in keeping rugby alive in schools and providing a valuable development experience for the 27 players who will go on the tour.

Guests were told that it is now likely that UK tours will occur every two years, with the strong support of Rugby Australia,greatly enhancing the development opportunities for schools rugby players
