Merv & Iris Allen Award

1994 saw the inauguration of two awards in memory of two of Schools Rugby's greatest supporters and benefactors in Australia. Merv Allen was President of the Australian Schools' Rugby Union when he died. Prior to this he was President of the NSW Schools Rugby Union, NSW Combined High Schools and held many other posts in Schools Rugby and sports generally. Both Merv and his wife Iris, who has also since died, were long term and generous supporters of Schools Rugby.
